I was talking on the phone to Clare (4) recently and I asked her what she was going to do when she turned 5. “Will you drive when you’re five?” I asked her. (I was expecting her to say something like she’s too little or too short to drive.)
Clare answered: “No, it’s a safety violation.”
Sounds like she knows the law pretty well for a four-year-old.
My Mom to Dominic (1 year old), while they were at the hospital: “Should we take the baby home?”
Dominic: “No.”
Clare: “Aunt Kwistin, you spoil me…and you’re rotten!”
My brother-in-law told me that I needed to join AA — Aunts Anonymous — since I’m an aunt who likes to spoil her nieces and nephew. So I thought this would be a good venue where other aunts (and uncles!) can share stories and pictures of their precious nieces & nephews. Now let’s bring this AA meeting to order….
